Ok this is a basic one. If you are can mining. ie using a jetisoned can to put your ore into before it gets hauled. If someone comes and puts something in your can do not take anything else from that can. They and thier buddies can then attack you. Its called can flipping and its very annoying but can be deadly if you fall for it. To avoid this either mine when you know theres no know can flippers, use someone as a hauler or just don't do it.
